Quotes from Brisbane's best loved authors are included, as well as excerpts from the work of noted contemporary and critically acclaimed poets and novelists." |
Brisbane City Botanic Gardens
Brisbane City Botanic Gardens is a living museum of plant collections, displaying early heritage specimens through to present day exotic and native plantings.
Tours are offered twice daily, Monday through Saturday (none on Sunday). The walk lasts approximately one hour. |

Heritage Trails - Riverfront
This heritage trail includes two cross-river ferry trips. The trail highlights Brisbane's historic links with the river and takes in historic sites from Kangaroo Point to the city. The north side of the trail includes Custom's House and the Orient Hotel. On the south side, walkers are taken past the immigration centre, Yungaba and the restored Story Bridge Hotel |
Piper Comanche Wreck - Brisbane Forest Park
This Piper Comanche crashed in March 1977. The pilot was killed on impact. ..There is no engine, instrument panel, cockpit or undercarriage left at the site.
The majority of the walk in is along a graded track which is an old forestry vehicle track.." |

Gone Walking
Gonewalking is the Brisbane City Council's new walking program initiated as part of the Living in Brisbane 2010 Active and Healthy theme.
The walks are held at consistent times and go for about one hour. Novice or regular walkers can join in and walks are suitable for parents with prams.
