Australian Association for Byzantine Studies
"Formed in 1977, the Australian Association for Byzantine Studies is a non-profit organisation that aims to foster links between scholars, students and laypersons within Australia and New Zealand who are interested in Byzantium and related fields." The Association has formed close connections with Byzantine groups in other countries, it publishes a semi-annual newsletter (available online), hosts a biennial conference, and funds the publication of the scholarly series Byzantina Australiensia.
